CBSE Class 7th English Passage Based Question Chapter 4 Chivvy

Paragraph 1:

Grown-ups are always giving instructions, reminding us of things to do or not do. They say things like, “Speak up,” and “Don’t talk with your mouth full.” They don’t want us to stare, point, or pick our noses in public, and they always remind us to sit up straight. We’re told to say “please” and “thank you,” and they ask us to keep the noise down. We’re also told to shut the door behind us, not drag our feet, and, of course, to always have a hankie handy.

We’re reminded to say “thank you” and not to interrupt anyone when they’re speaking. They often remind us, “No one thinks you’re funny,” when we’re acting silly. At the table, they say, “Take your elbows off the table,” and always ask, “Can’t you make your own mind up about anything?”
